Poster Boy

Poster Boy, a New York native, mashes up and remixes subway advertisements using only a razor. He cuts images and text from ads and uses them to alter other ads. His work usually conveys some sort of message regarding societal structure.

Shepard Fairey: Supply & Demand

Shepard Fairey, an influential street artist, is known for his iconic Obama poster and guerrilla art campaigns. The Shepard Fairey: Supply & Demand exhibition examines the artist’s 20 year career and runs at The Institute of Contemporary Art/Boston from Feb. 6 to Aug. 16, 2009. Joshua Allen Harris

Joshua Allen Harris, a New York artist, creates inflatable street art out of shopping bags and trash bags.  Subway and exhaust air inflate the bags to look like giant animals rising from the air ducts on the sidewalk.  The dynamic nature of each installation means you’ll never have the same viewing experience twice.
